Why Give?
God Commanded Us to Give
As believers, we trust entirely in the word of the Lord and follow His commands to honor and demonstrate our love for Him. God commanded a tithe from our earnings to be returned to Him and promised us even more blessing for keeping this command (Malachi 3:10).
God Loves a Cheerful Giver
Our Lord wants us to give cheerfully and without the burden of obligation (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
God Promises Blessings to Those Who Give
The Lord stands behind all of His promises. In His infinite providence and wisdom, God gives back one-hundred fold to those who give and warns us that withholding wealth ultimately leads to scarcity (Proverbs 11:24).
God is Honored
One of our greatest joys as believers is to honor God for who He is and what He has done for us through Jesus Christ. One way to honor God is to give back to Him the best part, or the first fruits, of our earnings (Proverbs 3:9-10).
Where Does My Offering Go?
We understand that you may be concerned about what happens to your offering once you donate. We take our role as stewards of your offerings very seriously (1 Peter 4:10) and use our general fund to serve our community better. The church’s needs include facilities and maintenance, the food ministry, the children’s ministry, and savings for future projects.
How to Give
Giving is easy at Golgotha! There are several ways to give:
- During Service: We have a dedicated time to give cash or check during each Sunday service.
- Via PayPal: You can also give via PayPal for safe and secure online giving.
- Via Cash App: You can also give through Cashapp using the app on your phone. It is free, and the funds can be transferred instantly.
- Via Venmo: You can also give through Venmo using the app on your phone. It works similarly to Cash App.
- Zelle: Perhaps the most popular and common form of money transfer, we accept Zelle. Use (909) 285-8451.
- Church App: We accept donations through our Church app, powered by Tithly.
Tax-Deductible Donations
We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization, meaning your generous offerings are tax deductible. If you’d like a year-end statement of your offerings for tax purposes, we advise you to make your donations via check or online for accounting purposes.
